BYU fans

Brett, his 4 brothers and his Dad all have season tickets to the BYU games. It's been a family tradition since Brett was little but as far as I know, no one ever went there for school. hehe

It definitely hasn't stopped generations from passing down the Cougar Love and spending game time together. We eat, cheer, and show our love through our BYU attire!

I love my cougars...growl
Afton gathered acorns from our oak trees to take to Grandpa.
We tried...Afton's silly smiles make me laugh.
 Cutest cougar ever......
Richard and Karen are always nice to have us over for game time!
Judd, Avery, Tiff, and Harvey are our BYU buddies! We love spending time with them!
We love, love Lauren and Steve!
Big smooch from me and of course he's pointing to the Y on my shirt. I am supporting the team!
Tiff had these capes and Afton and Harvey loved running around and around and around!
 Bat girl!
We stole this pose from Judd and Tiff. It turned out really cute!

Maternity photos for Katie and Mike

Remember Katie from this shower? I was lucky enough to take her maternity photos and I had so much fun!. Mike and Katie are so sweet and wonderful and I can't wait for their baby boy to arrive!

We didn't have much of a window because Mike had back surgery and Katie's due date was looming. When we were able to go Mike was only a week out of his surgery and was such a good sport with me directing him where to go and what to do.

We started at a little park in Lehi and ended up on the train tracks which were right down the road. There had been a lot of fires and the sky was hazy and flat so I was worried we wouldn't get a good shot. But we ended up with several and these are a few of my favorites...

I think this is my very favorite...
Katie's tummy was so tiny I kept telling her to push it out so I could get the shot!

Dentist

I can't believe Afton had a cavity...

I took her to Brett's dentist the last time he had a checkup and Dr. Meier was kind enough to let her lay in the chair (on my lap) and look into her mouth. I was shocked when he said she had a cavity. Apparently she has deep depressions in her molars (just like daddy) and there wasn't much I could have done.

I ended up taking her to my Dentist, Dr. Howe to have it filled. He gave Afton some gas and she still doesn't even know she got a shot in her mouth. She was so brave and when Dr. Howe found another cavity right next to the first he worked so fast Afton didn't seem to notice.

Every now and then she would hold her little hands up in front of her face and wiggle them. It made me giggle and wonder, why don't I ever get the gas??

We also had pig with us, who was very comforting. Afton was glad having pig in the chair with her.

As we left I told Afton her mouth was numb and she needed to be careful with her tongue, cheek, and lips. We got a Jamba Juice but Afton was still hungry after so she ate a little and that must have been when she bit her lip.

She didn't complain much until Sunday night when we were up every 30 to 45 minutes the entire night. Her lip had become a sore and every time she moved it hurt. I took her to the Dr. the next morning and he said all I could do was Motrin and some Anbesol numbing cream. Her throat was red so she had a strep test which came back negative. The numbing cream really seemed to help and we're working on catching up on our sleep!

Cascade Springs

We LOVE Cascade Springs. We love driving up American Fork Canyon and over the Alpine Pass. The drive is beautiful any time of year (closed in the winter) and Cascade Springs is nestled down in a little valley. Afton loves running up and down the paths, playing on the bridges, and looking for fish.

Here are some pictures from last year!

This year we had five little friends come along for the drive. Afton wanted them to have a good view!
Afton insisted on wearing her backpack containing treats, a stuffed animal and who knows what else...

Taking a break.

Daddy pointing out the trout in the water.
Afton "on the phone"!

A snake we found on the log Afton was standing on.
Me and my best buddy!
I love Afton's little fingers. She was watching the waterfall and was mesmerized by the water. She loves being on the bridge!
Screams and giggles with Daddy!
Cutest little mouth...
 One series of waterfalls.
Climbing around...
Beautiful view! Afton had a good time yelling into the vastness.

Me

Brett took this (along with a few others) in the backyard. He is such a good sport and I know he secretly loves being behind the camera. He cracks me up and makes me smile. I need to do a new list about me and my life right now but I'm so tired. I'll update later!

Backyard

I am the luckiest mom in the world to have Afton as my sweet little daughter! We have so much fun playing together and we're lucky to have such a beautiful, fun yard (thanks Brett)!

These are all phone photos!
