More Halloween! I love my little witch!

Pumpkins

We were all SO excited this year when our pumpkins kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger! We had so many they were growing throughout our flower beds and garden! I love having pumpkins to put on the porch and in the flower beds! I also love my little munchkins. I use those on my porch and in my house! They last a long time!

Afton loved having a drum set in the garden!

The tiniest pumpkin!

Painting pumpkins at Grandma Sandy's!

This pumpkin made me laugh! I bought the felt kit for a dollar at Target and Afton had so much fun!

Trick or Treating

Oh I love my little witch! She wanted the same costume as last year for trick or treating which was fine because I was a little worried about her mermaid tail dragging on the ground for an hour!

Shane and Blake joined us for a little while.

Carving the pumpkins...Brett drew the lines and then cut. Afton just wanted to draw!

Pumpkin patch

This year Tiff and I took the kids to a cute little pumpkin patch in South Jordan. It had little wagons so each child could gather and carry their own pumpkins! There were quite a few tractors to sit on and a mini corn maze to run through! The kids had a blast!

Trick or treating and fun with Pumpkins

If you know me you know Halloween isn't my favorite holiday. I don't care for the costumes, the candy, the chaos, or any of it. Of course I can't tell that to Afton.

I want her to have her own opinions. Having said that can I just say that Halloween lasted FOREVER this year? We had a family party one week, a friend party the next, Barnyard Boo, a Halloween dance party and by the time Halloween day rolled around Afton wanted NOTHING to do with her costume!

We told her again about trick or treating and going door to door and at one point she said she'd like to dress up and go. We got her costume on, grabbed the neighbors and headed out.

I will say she makes one adorable little witch! The bag was handmade by Grandma Sandy last year but matched her outfit perfectly this year! Afton LOVED knocking on doors and would say, "Trick or Treating" when someone answered.

We wandered for about an hour and by then it was dark and getting chilly (it had been a really warm Halloween day). After that we headed home and once Afton had assessed her goodies she went straight to door duty. Whenever the doorbell rang or someone knocked she would say, "come on mom" and grab the candy bowl. She put one candy in each bag and gave a little scowl when someone grabbed their own.

Luckily before the Halloween burnout began my mom and Afton did a painting project. Afton loved choosing colors and especially loved the glitter. Grandpa was going to help her carve a pumpkin but she didn't seem to care.

This was a shot I loved of Afton when we were gathering pumpkins. For some reason our pumpkins didn't work this year so we went to Grandpa W's garden.

Barnyard Boo

This year Tiff and I went to Barnyard Boo at Thanksgiving Point during the day. It was nice outside and felt good to walk around. The kids enjoyed the different activities, (which included face painting) donut samples, and the wagon ride.

Luckily the prizes weren't all treats but we did end up with a few suckers!
