Afton wanted to take dance again so we signed her up at the Legacy Center. She had a lot of fun and looked forward to going. We found out the performance was on a Thursday and we were leaving for Capitol Reef that day so I asked her what she wanted to do. She said she'd rather go out of town and miss the performance. I was okay with that. I ordered her costume anyway which turned out to be a good idea because we were able to go to the dress rehearsal on Wednesday night. My mom and dad came to watch and Afton had a lot fun with the girls.
I didn't pay for pictures this time and because I only had my 50mm I wasn't able to get very good pictures. These are phone pictures but they are oh so cute!!

Grandpa Tom's bday
Grandpa Tom is one of my favorite people in the entire world and I love any excuse to spend time with him! Melis and I grabbed him for dinner one night to celebrate his birthday. We were excited to go to Ruby River but when we got there it was closed down. We headed over to Texas Roadhouse instead and had a yummy meal. Dad's always so complimentary and saying funny things like how lucky he is to be out with 2 beautiful girls... hehe. Thanks Dad!
Afton loves a party and she was excited Grandpa Tom was having a birthday. He's always such a good sport! Party hats, candles, twinkie cake...What's not to love

Easter
Afton really loves Holidays and she was so excited about Easter. She couldn't wait to decorate eggs, hunt for candy and plan her own Easter Party (which won't happen for a few more weeks while we're camping)!
We went to Grandma Sandy's for dinner a couple of days after Easter and Afton grabbed her pink camo bucket and had fun finding the eggs.
We found a new setup for dying eggs this year but it didn't work as well as we'd hoped. Afton still loved it!
For the Keetch's Easter egg hunt Afton decorated her bucket with a drawing. She is so creative and fun! I love her mind!
Tiff took these cute pictures of me and Maya! Thanks Tiff!
This year for Easter my mom made the girls these adorable bib necklaces and matching skirts. We did a little photo shoot and I'm in love with these pictures! Thank you Mom!!

Afton's artwork
Afton doesn't really like to color (in coloring books) but she loves to paint, draw, design, or do just about anything else creative. Here are a few things she's done lately. I have been trying to scan as much as possible so I can recycle her work. She does so much and I have a hard time getting rid of anything but I can't keep everything!
Afton, Daddy, and Mom
Panda, an otter, bamboo and the orange was the start of a bird.
These were done in Grandpa's jeep while driving to the Silver Sage for lunch.
I love this because it's everything she was looking at but layered. Interesting...
There was a train, dirt, sagebrush, sky, and clouds. I think
Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day was fun this year mainly because Afton was so excited! Her party (here) went well and everything else surrounding this holiday was fun and exciting!
She celebrated at school
The Valentine Man came and brought Afton this book. She loves Duck and Goose books!
And I got these beauties from my sweetheart! Brett and I always celebrate on the 15th because that was the day of our first date. This year we went to Red Lobster (my request) and walked around Fashion Place mall while we waited for our table. It felt weird walking around the mall, funny to think I used to love it! (The only reason we went there was to sell a phone but something was wrong and I ended up having to go back. At least I got a pretzel out of the next trip!)
Anyway, dinner was DELICIOUS! We even splurged on dessert. After dinner we walked across the bridge over the freeway and walked through the neighborhood where Brett grew up. It was fun to hear him talk about old friends and experiences. After that we drove by my old house and found the lot completely leveled. It was kind of sad.
